January Pottery

January's pottery update ended up being a humble one after going all out in December, because I decided to hold back any Year of the Dragon stuff for next month.

For this batch, I'm debuting two more motifs in my Running with the Wild series—Running Fox and Running Bison!

I think this fox mug has been my absolute favourite mug I've done so far. If it doesn't end up selling, I may end up keeping it for myself LOL

One of favourite things about this mug is the California Poppy motif that's carved into the top and bottom of the handle—

Here's a look at another Running Fox mug I did! You can see the difference in design here where the fox is scaled up and there is no additional floral border in the design.

This one also has a California Poppy motif carved on the handle, but just on the top—

Here's a look at some Bison goodies! This little totem was a test piece for me to play around with some gold—

And here is the Running Bison motif mug (although the bison is moreso taking a casual stroll vs running LOL)—

I ended up making a couple of vases as well! The Fresno Nightcrawlers motif was so popular, I simply had to add them to something else and this vase was perfect for them—

I also made a few things starring my Keeper Wolves!

And finally, I made some more Poppy Rabbit trinket dishes! One of which will be shown in an upcoming exhibition celebrating Black artists here in Fresno, California.

All in all, I wish I had more, but I try to not beat myself up about it because I actually did have a lot more—it's just coming in the next month. 🙂
