Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the relationship between my ancestors and nature.
I’ve been thinking about how Harriet Tubman used Barred Owl calls and her Naturalist knowledge to lead people along the Underground Railroad<\/a>. How my ancestors read the night sky for their very survival and freedom. How the stars helped guide them to safety. And how they used their relationship with nature to get to freedom.
Nature helped free us.<\/p>\n\n\n
