There are a few Ghibli films that have touched me on a spiritual level, and Princess Mononoke is definitely one of them<\/a>. Seeing the invite to this show, I immediately knew that I wanted to make a piece inspired by Moro, the Goddess of the Wolves.<\/p>\n\n\n

She does have some minor damage to her face.
I originally was going to pull her out of the show because I was so devastated.
But Giant Robot said that they’d still love to show her, and they’d just let folks know about the damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moro has probably seen her fair share of scuffles, so I imagine she’s had some facial scars every now and then over the course of her lifetime.
