I can't remember the last time I'd visited a pumpkin patch. But when a friend showed me an instagram post about a dinosaur themed pumpkin patch that just so happened to be here in California, I knew what I was going to do for this month's Project: Wild California destination!
One of the features Spina Farms boasts about is their 30 foot animatronic Godzilla lovingly named Gourdzilla. And if I wasn't already sold on a pumpkin patch full of dinosaurs, the giant Godzilla alone would have gotten me to make the 2.5 hour trek out to Morgan Hills.
I went during the week and noticed a bunch of school busses in the parking lot. And I thought that it was so delightful that kids got to come here for field trips! What a lucky group of children to have this place as a fun, Fall field trip destination to celebrate the Halloween and autumnal season. It definitely brought back some of my own grade school field trip memories.
This place was so charming, and I would love to maybe make this a Fall tradition one of these days when I've got my partner. It's also near Santa Cruz and the Bay area if I wanted to add more things to do in the vicinity.
I'm so happy that it's now starting to feel more and more officially like Fall! 🍁🍂
