Post-It Show 21 – GR2 Gallery

I'm playing a little catch-up on posts right now!
The Post-It Show 21 was way back in December of 2025.
I actually traveled to LA to participate in the opening of this show, and it was such a chaotic experience in the best way.

There's just something magical about being in a space completely surrounded by people; and completely surrounded by little pieces of art.
It felt like each small square was a window into a different, tiny little world.
It was like a little scavenger hunt trying to find my work, as well as the work of other artists I recognise.
And a fun sense of discovery when I found a piece from an artist I never knew existed.

Up to this point I had been working exclusively with clay and—aside from my sketchbook—hadn't really touched pen and paper in a very long time.

It was also beautiful to experience how my ceramics have now influenced my 2D work when for so long my 2D work was the one doing the informing and influencing.

Whenever I had done paintings in the past, they were incredibly controlled when it came to mark-making. But with these there was a sense of fun and freedom. I was having so much fun and got so swept up in painting these that I didn't want to stop, so once I made my twelve for the show I painted one just for me.

I need to find a better frame for mine so the details aren't being covered.
All of my sticky notes found a home and I hope the new owners are enjoying these small little pieces of my heart. ✨💖
