I am FINALLY writing about the pieces in my debut exhibition at Antler Gallery!
I wanted to wait before revealing all of the pieces so folks could see them live at the gallery.
I previously wrote about making a quick trip up to Portland, and the reason being was to drop off these pieces to the gallery. I was really concerned about The Magician not getting there in one piece via postal services, so I decided to just do it myself and make it an adventure.

It's a great book that explains cognitive dissonance, but what I found extra helpful was it also showed how to connect to people who are deep within cognitive dissonance. It's a pumpkin ganache caramel pumpkin pie. There's like a half inch layer of caramel on the bottom, a two inch thick layer of pumpkin ganache, and if that wasn't enough there's also an inch thick layer of whipped cream on top with streusel. The people of Milk Bar were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should when it came to creating this beast. There's like a half inch layer of caramel on the bottom, a two inch thick layer of pumpkin ganache, and if that wasn't enough there's also an inch thick layer of whipped cream on top with streusel. The people of Milk Bar were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should when it came to creating this beast. These pieces by far are some of the best—and coolest—sculptures I've made so far, and I'm SO PROUD of how they all turned out. Everyone except two pieces have found a home!
However, I'm currently dealing with that weird, in-between mental space after I do something big where I'm ready to continue moving forward and yet I feel like I will never make something as awesome and will fail.

It's a total lie, but brains are weird like that sometimes.
