New Website!

Guess who FINALLY updated her website—me!

There is a large banner at the top that says, "LIONINTHETREES art and ceramics by Shirley Jackson" with two of my Barn Swallow totems flanking the text.

I've been meaning to update it for some time and I finally did it!
Ever since I've been transitioning to pottery, I've been itching to update my website to reflect that and it definitely shows! I'm so proud of how it turned out!

In the past, every time I've updated my website I've never been 100% happy with it. But this time, it feels perfect for me. I wanted my website to go back to a playful style reminiscent of the early aughts with hand-drawn type and fun illustrations while also maintaining some of the clean organisation of a contemporary website.
It's also still responsive/adaptive to screen size, so if you're on mobile it'll look a little different! 🙂

I still need to add more pottery and artwork to those pages, but it's looking fabulous so far!

I also finally—FINALLY—made a favicon!!! This is something I've been meaning to do ever since I first bought my domain, so now it's a little barn swallow. It's not perfect but hey, at least it's no longer the generic Bluehost favicon LMAOOOO

It's so nice having everything updated and linked via my own website so now I don't have to use linktree anymore to link folks to a variety of things. And if I need to, I can always create my own "links" page should I need to link folks to other stuff like collaborations or Every Day Original pieces.

I'm just SO happy and SO proud of how this turned out—absolutely over the moon about it.
It feels so much more "me" and for once I'm fully happy with my website and want to use it more especially given the instability of social media these days.
