August Pottery
Group photo of my latest pottery. Features a variety of bowls and mugs with black sgraffito designs consisting of my running horse, keeper wolves, and new swallow motif. There is also a bear totem, a small snake totem, and red horse totem.

Half of this month's batch ended up being flawed. The clear glaze I applied was way too thick which resulted in a bunch of bubbles underneath the glaze. On some of these pieces, it added a really cool texture and gradient, but that wasn't what I wanted so I ended up discounted these pieces.

It's disappointing because I worked really hard on all of these designs—making pottery can be A LOT of work! But I learned a really good lesson when it comes to glazes.

The majority of these sold first dibs to my patreon peeps, but here's a look at everything that was available! In some of these photos, you can see what happened with the clear glaze:

Disappointments aside, the other half of this pottery update ended up turning out wonderfully!

I wasn't sure how people would receive these pieces, but they appear to have been a success!

I'll definitely be making more in the future and with other motifs and shapes.

I realised too late that I should have posted about these here the same day when the rest of the pottery pieces were made available in my shop. I'm still trying to get used to posting in this space.

Moving forward, I'll be updating the blog when the store updates so folks checking here can use this blog as a source for staying in the loop. 🙂

Sorry about that, y'all!
